A bit of a different, non-bookish post today but this was one I wanted to do as part of Blogtober. Years ago when I ran a personal blog (that I never really shared anywhere) I used to love shooting OOTD posts – even though I’m not sure how good I was at them! Since being pregnant I’ve struggled with sticking to my style and finding clothes that fit me, are comfy, and aren’t too expensive at the same time, so I wanted to share some of my current go to outfits for autumn that do meet these requirements. Most of the clothes I’m wearing aren’t maternity branded clothes – just things I bought or already had that are oversized enough for me to still wear – and the couple of maternity clothes I have worn, I’ve also shared links to non-maternity versions of. Basically my aim with these outfits was to make them adaptable and accessible to as many people as I could!
Before I get into it, I have no idea how this post and my research into it even came about. As much as I am going to include information, I don’t want it to be a big ol’ dump but I also don’t want to make too much light of a serious topic. A few nights ago during a conversation with my mother, I remembered that during all of my school years (age 5, not including nursery up to age 15.) (I do know the average age of leaving school in the U.K. is 16 but I left a year and a half early due to medical issues) I only had one Sexual Education class which consisted of a dildo being presented ready to have a condom put on it but then one of my classmates proceeding to lob it at the teacher. The end.
This got me thinking about my follower’s experience with Sex Ed. Did they have regular classes? Did they cover everything you thought should be covered? I’m not a teacher but I can respect the fact that teaching a class of children about sex isn’t going to be a walk in the park, but I do think more should be done, especially after seeing the results I received on my pictured Twitter & Instagram poll.
Today, 8th of March 2018, is International Women’s Day and as two (raging) feminists, we couldn’t let this day pass without dedicating a blog post to it. We played around with a few different ideas but finally decided on a list of recommendations for all things girl power. We hope you find something you like but more importantly, celebrate the day of the woman in whatever way you can! Continue reading “International Women’s Day 2018 //”→
This year, we’ve wanted to try our hand at working with different brands, shops and companies. I’ve been keeping an eye on the #bloggerswanted hashtag on Twitter and a few weeks back I came across a tweet from @Truly_Tangible asking if any bloggers wanted to receive some products in exchange for an honest review. As you already know, I’m a huge fan of stationary so I jumped at this opportunity. I was allowed to choose products from their shop and they arrived in such a quick amount of time and were perfectly wrapped.Continue reading “BRAND COLLABORATION // Tangible Stationary”→
So, I’m turning twenty-five this June, and I have to say I’ve been having a bit of a quarter life crisis about this. I’ve got to that stage where I’m constantly moaning about being old to my mostly younger work colleagues, where I can’t stay up past 10pm without getting moody, where a night in with a takeaway sounds way more appealing than going out drinking until the next morning, and where I take midday naps on my days off.
I don’t quite feel as young as that chubby redhead baby (also can we just talk about how nineties everything in that photo is?) but I don’t feel like I’m halfway to fifty either – so I decided to make a little list of goals that I want to complete in the next four months before my birthday. Some of these are tiny things, and some are huge goals that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time – hopefully though, I’ll get them all done or have them planned in before my birthday!
So this morning my mother woke me up, gesturing excitedly to the snowfall going on outside my bedroom window. Despite now being in my 20s, I went into full kid mode as I went running downstairs and out into it with my two dogs (after convincing my siberian husky to get out of bed.) After that, the day seemed perfect to tackle our Christmas decorations and wrapping whilst listening to Christmas songs and watching the snow fall. Today was a good day and I wanted to remember and share it with you guys so here are some shots I took. If you want to know where I sourced any of the decorations, then let me know in the comments and I’ll point you in the right direction. Continue reading “December 10th 2017 // Snow Day”→
