Whilst doing some research for 2020 books with LGBTQIA+ rep, I started coming across releases for next year and it’s safe to say, I got a bit excited. So I thought I’d start a little series where I mention some books I’m looking forward to in 2020 that have LGBTQIA+ characters! Here are my first 12 picks. Be ready to add to that TBR!Continue reading “2021 LGBTQIA+ Books I’m Looking Forward To | Part I”
After a bit of a break, I am finally back with another post dedicated to 2020 LGBTQ+ releases! You can check out the previous posts here but I am over the moon that we are already way over 100 different books. This time we have everything from contemporaries, fantasies, graphic novels, novellas and more. As always, if any of my information is incorrect, please let me know in the comments! But for now, enjoy and I hope you find a new favourite. Continue reading “2020 LGBTQ+ RELEASES PART VIII”
This was a series I was planning on starting later on in the year but due to recent events, I’ve boosted it up to now. Despite making it my mission to read more diversely this year, I have still fallen short on reading too many books by Black authors but I am determined for that to change. Below I have chosen some books by Black authors that I have read and loved and also some that I want to read fairly soon. This series will become a regular feature on the blog and I hope you all make it your mission also to read and support these authors.
So my recent and newfound love has been the Wayward Children series by Seanan McGuire. These books have been on my radar for a while but I’ve always wanted them in hardback form (I mean, have you seen the covers?!) and thanks to some lovely human beans, I have been able to finally start the series. I was toying with how to review these but eventually decided on writing mini-reviews for each book in the series thus far (my thoughts rather than a synopsis) so without further ado, here are some of my thoughts!
Although we are pretty much halfway through May now, I still wanted to shout about some of my most anticipated releases for this month. A lot of books that were originally on this list have now been pushed back but hopefully all the dates for these are still correct! I hope you’re all keeping safe and without further ado, here are my May 2020 anticipated YA releases. As always, make sure to check out my separate series with 100+ 2020 releases with LGBTQ+ characters here! Continue reading “MOST ANTICIPATED May 2020 YA RELEASES”
So during the end of March and throughout April, I went through a bit of a reading slump which ultimately meant a blog slump so I missed the April edition of this series. I thought about maybe skipping over it but then remembered, there were still releases I was excited for and still want to feature so here we go! Remember I have a separate series featuring 2020 releases with LGBTQ+ characters, so check it out here so I don’t repeat books!
Due to Animal Crossing coming out and the whole pandemic thing, I have not been in the mood for reading and for once, I didn’t feel too guilty about it. However, as I was sat out in my garden in the sunshine the other day twiddling my thumbs, I thought I’d pick up a book and another three closely followed. Here are some mini reviews of the books in question! Continue reading “Mini Reviews // End of Book Slump Edition”
First and foremost, I’m going to apologise for my absence from the blog lately. With everything going on in the world, I wasn’t in the right mind space to produce posts I was proud of and that readers would enjoy. However, if there is one thing we can do now, it’s reading, especially some diverse books and authors. This series has got so much love and support and I am still astonished that I can now give you a seventh part! As always, these are in order of release (some already released of course), are all standalones or start-of-series and if I have got any information incorrect, please let me know in the comments! But most importantly, I hope you find a new favourite and stay safe. Continue reading “2020 LGBTQ+ RELEASES PART VII”
Another month, another list of amazing book releases! So far my bank account isn’t crying too much as I’ve got myself down to my local library but I still need to own all these amazing books, especially with these beautiful covers. So because I want your TBRs to grow as much as mine, here are some of my most anticipated YA releases for March (in order of release!). As always, if you want to check out my (long) list of books being released during 2020 with LGBTQ+ characters, check it out here so I don’t repeat books!
So rather than write three separate reviews where I will probably blabber in great detail, I decided to start a little series where I write mini-reviews of some upcoming books that I gratefully accepted in proof copy form. As always, these views are all my own and below I’ve reviewed two contemporaries and a fantasy! They are all being released soon so make sure to add them to your TBRs if any take your fancy.
