Blogtober // Pumpkin Patch Trip

Blogtober // Pumpkin Patch Trip

Something that I’ve made an autumnal tradition for myself and Jordan over the past few years is to take a trip to a pumpkin patch – partly so I can take photos, obviously, and partly to get some pumpkins for soup (that’s Jordan’s job). I thought today would be the perfect day to share some photos from this years trip!

Blogtober // Angharad’s October Wrap-up

Although my plans for reads this month were originally supposed to be horror based, I then remembered I’m the biggest mood reader so that swiftly went downhill. However, I did read some creepy books this month and I may carry it on into November (which is also my birth month woop!) So here is what I read this month –  Continue reading “Blogtober // Angharad’s October Wrap-up”

Blogtober // Favourite Autumn Themed Bookstagrams

One of my favourite things about the Autumn months is seeing the gradual shift in bookstagrammer’s posts – seeing the orange tones creep in, the leaves arranged around their books, hot chocolate with whipped cream and even some pretty fairy lights. Although there are so many amazing, inspiring people posting photos that fit this brief, I am going to share some of my recent favourites with you all! Blogtober Review // The Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-Jones

Blogtober Review // The Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-Jones

Seventeen-year-old Aderyn (“Ryn”) only cares about two things: her family, and her family’s graveyard. And right now, both are in dire straits. Since the death of their parents, Ryn and her siblings have been scraping together a meager existence as gravediggers in the remote village of Colbren, which sits at the foot of a harsh and deadly mountain range that was once home to the fae. The problem with being a gravedigger in Colbren, though, is that the dead don’t always stay dead.

The risen corpses are known as “bone houses,” and legend says that they’re the result of a decades-old curse. When Ellis, an apprentice mapmaker with a mysterious past, arrives in town, the bone houses attack with new ferocity. What is it that draws them near? And more importantly, how can they be stopped for good?

Together, Ellis and Ryn embark on a journey that will take them deep into the heart of the mountains, where they will have to face both the curse and the long-hidden truths about themselves.

Blogtober // Favourite Cosy Reads

When the weather starts getting bad (or good depending on which way you look at it) there’s nothing better than grabbing a blanket, a hot drink and a book to curl up with. A ‘cosy read’ can, of course, depend on the person but these are the books that came to mind when we heard the word. Continue reading “Blogtober // Favourite Cosy Reads”

Blogtober // Creepy Creations

So for today, I am going to be sharing with you some Halloween/autumn inspired creations I have found by some amazingly talented people! I think we should all aim to support independent creators over popular shops and these are some of the favourites I have found so go and show them some support! Continue reading “Blogtober // Creepy Creations”

Blogtober // Horror Game Recommendations

As you may or may not know, when I’m not reading, I’m probably gaming. I’ve been an avid gamer for years and despite not playing a lot of horror games perfectly (bloody anxiety) I have watched a lot of playthroughs and have a few favourites I’d like to share with you!  Continue reading “Blogtober // Horror Game Recommendations”

Blogtober // Halloween and Autumn Traditions

Blogtober // Halloween and Autumn Traditions

So I was thinking of saying something about how much I love autumn here… but I imagine you guys have already gathered that from our posts so far this month. Anyway, autumn definitely comes with its own traditions, so I thought I’d share a few of mine!

Blogtober // Autumnal Fashion Go-To’s

Blogtober // Autumnal Fashion Go-To’s

Hi guys!
A bit of a different, non-bookish post today but this was one I wanted to do as part of Blogtober. Years ago when I ran a personal blog (that I never really shared anywhere) I used to love shooting OOTD posts – even though I’m not sure how good I was at them! Since being pregnant I’ve struggled with sticking to my style and finding clothes that fit me, are comfy, and aren’t too expensive at the same time, so I wanted to share some of my current go to outfits for autumn that do meet these requirements. Most of the clothes I’m wearing aren’t maternity branded clothes – just things I bought or already had that are oversized enough for me to still wear – and the couple of maternity clothes I have worn, I’ve also shared links to non-maternity versions of.  Basically my aim with these outfits was to make them adaptable and accessible to as many people as I could!
